We are trying to get back to our normal, everyday life as much as possible and keep some of the same scheduled playdates and fun things that were on the calendar before Jackson was diagnosed. Monday John Michael and Bree came over for a playdate filled with running, sliding, swinging, riding, water balloons, sidewalk chalk and lots of fun!
I wasn't in the best frame of mind. Okay, who am I kidding? I haven't been in a good frame of mind in a week now. :( But, it really was important to me to see Jackson do just what he got to do. Smile, laugh, argue, talk back, not share, play, run, get red-faced from all the sunshine, and....BE A KID. Not a kid with diabetes. Not my baby who I was so worried about. But, just be a kid. That's all I wanted. And, that day I got it.
