Not Quite Professional...

But not too shabby either! :) Recently I tried out my new camera to take some pictures of the boys marking Jackson's turning age five. I was wondering if I could do a decent enough job to spend less on professional pictures so many times a year so that I would instead hire a topnotch expensive (ahem..Jenn McPherson or Amy Jackson..there's my plugs:)) photographer instead like once a year and spend the same amount of money. While I do need better software to edit the pictures (really bad:)) they turned out pretty good. I was proud of them. But, let's be honest I love all pictures of my kids. :)

While I will admit I am in a bit of a rush right now (I JUST realized last night Christmas is 3 and 1/2 weeks away...apparently I have been sleeping or something!) posting these and probably didn't pick my top favorites that I am proud of I wanted to share a few of them with you here for those of you that aren't on facebook.

I love capturing their true personalities. While Jackson did such a great job for me, Preston did super good considering he is usually the one who notoriously refuses to look at the camera when we hire someone to do our pictures and also the fact that he came down with croup the next day. I was worried neither of them would do as well for me as they do for strangers behind the lens for some reason. But, I honestly think they did better for me.

They both look so happy in this last one. I look at pictures like this and think, "Hmm..they both look SO happy. Maybe I'm not such a bad moma after all." :)

I think these are GREAT! I'm gonna need a few pointers on how you got the boys to do so well :)

Great pictures, Felicia! They look so happy and handsome. How will you choose which ones to enlarge for the wall?

haha..Erica I have NO idea..except I made it clear before we left the house what we were going to do and I will admit I added "this is for mommy..can you guys make mommy happy with this by being extra good and not crying?" :) That is probably horrible! :) Thanks, Rebecca..I need better software now though! I did enlarge some and they turned out pretty good.
