Our Homeschool Preschool Christmas Program!

When I first decided to homeschool, I was like "Oh, I will duplicate everything he will miss! We'll even do a Christmas program!" Then, I did my fall festival. Whew. That was very fun, and honestly turned out better than I ever expected, but it was alot of work. I won't lie. I think that is because though it was so close to Jackson's birthday party and Halloween and all the other fun fall stuff we do each year. So, knowing how jam packed December is, I decided we wouldn't do a program. Then, last minute after seeing Jackson singing carols in front of the tree and then hearing Preston say, "Jinjle Bells, Jinjle Bells, Jinjle On the Way" over and over I decided I'd see if they were interested in doing a small one just for the grandparents. Uh, yeah. That was a gimme. They were very, very excited to perform! We practiced, added background music, had props, and did all kinds of fun stuff to prepare. And, daddy was even involved. He was the background music guy. :) We honestly had more fun getting ready for it than we did actually putting it on.

And, Preston really performed best without an audience. :) We got started kind of late waiting on my dad to get off work, so he was tired by the time we did the actual performance. But, really during dress rehearsal he was so cute!

This is them taking a bow....you should see this in person. This, and how when you announce them from backstage (the kitchen) and they coming running out...and Preston is running AND bowing at the same time (about to fall of course) saying "tank ou, tank ou!"

I really think I will look back one day and this year we homeschooled will probably be up there at the top of the list as one of my favorite most memorable years ever with them. I love them so much.
