See all these beautiful gifts?? (Mine is the ugly red bag with white paper! haha! I can't take credit for all the pretty wrapping! I wish I took more time doing cute wrapping or at least choosing cuter bags and better tissue paper!) Anyway.. I digress. These are for one of my very best friends...Carly!! She is getting married next weekend!!! Can you believe it? I still can't! Recently, we threw her a bachelorette party up here in Atlanta (in case you didn't know she now lives in Tierra Verde, Florida.) And, we had a blast!! I was quite tired the next day (you know, now that I am approaching 40 and all haha!) But, it was well worth the fatigue (and headache...and from drinking I mean!)
LesleyAnn (a bridesmaid) kindly offered us her beautiful home to host the lingerie shower part of the evening. She had lots of yummy drinks and food for us to munch on to start our evening.

We had lots of fun things planned for the future Mrs. Brand for the evening..including dares she had to either complete or "pass" on by doing a shot. Amazingly, she did get someone to moon us!!! I totally thought either she'd pass or give up trying to find someone. That poor young kid. He willingly did it and we even took a picture!!! His moma would wring his neck!!! Made me totally think of it from a different perspective being a moma myself. I have decided Preston and Jackson are not leaving the house without me until they are 30. :)

My recent Facebook status was "There is nothing like a true, real, good friend." And, honestly, I often wonder what I did to deserve Erica and Carly. I am so glad God sent them to me. I don't know what I would do without them!

We had a super fun group! We all wore black and Carly wore white (and pink). We had dinner at Via and then headed to The Gold Room where we had a private little area all to ourselves. (Okay..I exaggerate..it wasn't all to ourselves..it was pretty small! :) But, still nice to have a place to sit in those crazy heels we all wore! Yes, we are in fact very old...well I am anyway!) :)

I am looking very forward to the wedding! It is exactly a week from today! This time next week I will be finishing up getting ready and pictures will be about to start. I am her Matron of Honor and I feel truly just that...honored. I am very, very excited to take part in her special day! I feel like when I was younger and probably better fit to be a bridesmaid I actually may not have enjoyed it as much as I will this time. Being older and realizing what a huge step this is and the new chapter in her life she is beginning by truly having taken the journey myself actually I think makes me even more "fit" for the job. (And, besides that I am not on bedrest with Jackson about to pop out of me!! Sorry, Erica!)

Congratulations Carly and Josh!!! And thanks so much for letting me take part!
