They had our room decorated for our birthdays.

Me wasting time at the airport. It was horrible weather Friday morning, and I just felt like I was dragging to get out the door. We got to the airport in time for the flight barely but only to discover we missed the deadline to check our bags! Darn security! :) At least they are trying to keep us safe!

So, at first Paul took charge and declared we'd have to carry on our bags and ditch all the liquids and just buy toiletries when we got there. He was like you can do without your contact solution! Then, I reminded him of his cologne (two bottles, mind you.) If you know how Paul is about his cologne, you can imagine his face thinking about that. So...he quickly changed his mind.

The airport guy said, we can have your luggage there after you arrive at 5:30 pm looking so proud of his new solution! What?! The ship departs at 5pm! I thought I was going to pass out! Finally a woman is SO nice to us, and since we were business class gave us a free change and found one that had open seats. (Funny. When I called a few months ago to change it, they wouldn't help me.) So, after calling the cruise line we came to the conclusion we would make it on time flying into Fort Lauderdale, not Miami, on the new flight, but only if there were no delays. So, with a stomach in knots, we waited it out. :)

As you can see Paul was thrilled. :)
