Can You "Imagine It?"

Can you imagine it...a fun day in Atlanta with some friends at the children's museum???? We can! We just got home from doing just that!

We went today to Imagine It downtown with Erica, Ella, Kora, and Kate (their blogs are on my page...the Shaddix family and the Hinton family.) The kids had a great time, and Jackson is already asking to go back!

Here he is fishing...he caught one! (they're magnetic.)
Preston also fished...but of course we all know him! He refused to wear the raincoat. Here is Ella and Kate fishing...wouldn't their daddies be proud? And their mommies, too! They are even color coordinated together if you look closely. They are just the best of friends, and they are so darn cute together (well, separate, too!) They are both 1 and 1/2, and Jackson was worried "they can't do anything." But, once he "checked to see if they could walk", all was good. :) For different genders and different ages, they all played together very well overall. :) Jackson was bit more patient with the girls than Preston. Well, Preston wasn't too patient with anything really today, but what can you say? He's two!

Here is Jackson working the loader at the factory where he boxed up groceries to be sent out on the conveyor belt to be shipped. (The museum is full of make believe/play pretend scenarios! It is really neat! I only posted just a portion of all we did today!)

When we made it over to the dress-up area where you could perform on stage and watch yourself in the mirror in your costume, Preston ran straight for this purple cape. Little did I know what he had planned to do with it. He climbed up (and almost fell off!) onto this bench which was very hard, wooden, and slippery. Then, he proceeded to use the purple cape as a blanket, suck his thumb, and say he was "goin seep." Seriously!? The amount of sleep this kid requires can be baffling!

Here he was before his crash painting for us. He really enjoyed doing that! You basically are painting on the wall with an acrylic overlay. Hmmm..maybe we should do a wall like that at home? Once again, of course, he refused to wear the paint apron. Thank goodness I think he didn't get any paint on his clothes.

What a fun day! Jackson went to Imagine It when I had just found out I was pregnant with Preston so it's been quite a while! He doesn't remember having gone before. I was excited to take Preston for his first time. Now that I know they both like it so much, we'll have to go back again really soon. Erica and Kora, you guys up for it? :)
