Jackson is learning about so much lately at school. They are studying the letters: A, B, & C. They tasted apples, bananas, and carrots according to the letters, too. He even told me all on his own "bed" starts with the letter "B". So neat!
The best story yet though was told by him today. I asked him if they learned about Adam and Eve because I knew they were supposed to this week. He said the following:
"Yeah! We did! There was a green snake and the girl she said go ahead eat the apple. And the green snake told them to. So they ate the apple and God took the garden away from them, and all the friends were sad."
With tears in my eyes that I was trying to hide, I said, "That's right. So, they ate the apple? Didn't God tell them not to? So, I guess they disobeyed God."
He said, "Yeah, He told them not to. They didn't obey him. But, next time when they get another garden they'll obey Him."
If only he were right. If only we always get a next time. Wait a minute! We do get a next time! God always forgives us! This was such a special way for me to reminded of that. Isn't His grace and forgiveness amazing!? Thank goodness things are different for us than in the Garden of Eden. Thanks, God, for saving us, and for allowing a way for me to send my children to a school where they can hear about You.
