Who Would've Known!?

Who would've known twenty-four 3-year olds on bikes, and tricycles, and scooters could have been so hilarious??? (and stressful!) :)

Today was the Bike-A-Thon fundraiser at Jackson's school. Thanks to many of you who sponsored him, he was ready to ride!
However, the directions to me seemed simple and quite self-explanatory even for a 3-year old. But, boy was I wrong! There were cones set up in the shape of a circle, and the children were to ride around the cones in a circle. It didn't take me long to realize I had to put the video camera down quickly to assist in this! :) All the kids (and namely Jackson) were going in different directions. Most of the time TOWARDS each other and not watching where they were going! And, several of them (namely Jackson) were going in the middle of the circle! :O

I didn't let Jackson take his knee pads and elbow pads so we wouldn't have so much to keep up with, and I thought we wouldn't need them. Thank goodness I dressed him in jeans to protect his knees just in case! He crashed several times and broke in his new bike rather quickly!

But, it was still so much fun! Preston sat in his stroller without making a peep or whimper for 30 minutes! That should tell you how much entertainment it was! He was looking around like, "What in the world??"

What was cute to me was seeing the class all come down in a line, and below is a picture of them lining up to go get their prize at the end. It was nice to see Jackson not shoving to be the line leader. All the kids were so cute.
It was also the first time I really got to see Jackson interacting with his classmates a good bit. I have no idea what this conversation is about, but it looks serious. :)

The prize: A push-up popsicle! Jackson typically doesn't eat stuff like this. He is such a picky eater. He just recently starting liking lollipops, and some days he doesn't want those. (He won't eat the Skittles they get at school for prizes either. And, one day I gave him a Starburst, and he almost gagged. :)) But, anyhow today he realized you could drink the melting popsicle. So, that's how he did it. And, he liked it that way! It was a memorable experience I will cherish forever. I am so blessed to be able to only work part-time so I can be a part of all these memories!
