Oh, How I Love My Boys...

At school right now, Jackson is learning about hibernation and winter. This is him in his bear cub hat. They got to pretend to hibernate Tuesday. I love this picture!

We are going in late February to Snow Mountain Park at Stone Mountain, and yesterday while shopping for Jackson some new clothes because he is growing like a weed, I found them some fleece hats on sale. Of course, Preston who hates stuffed animals and jackets hates his new hat. But, Jackson loves his! He doesn't want to take it off. I remember when Nicholas had one like this around this age when we used to go snow skiing with my sister. Man, that sure brings back memories. I always loved Nicholas's hat like that!

And, this is Preston apparently thinking he needs to lose some weight after eating all that birthday cake and ice cream this past weekend. Thank goodness you have to insert a key to get it to work!

And, this is what I found last night when I walked into the living room. Jackson was giving orders as usual, "Climb on my back Preston, and go for a ride!" Preston was happy to oblige!

They are so smart! I am so blessed. Jackson can write his "S" now perfectly! And, he is recognizing almost all of the upper case alphabet. And, tonight (drum roll, please) he read his first two early reader pages!!!!!!! I helped him sound them out, but you could really see the wheels turning. He is so excited to get to do another page tomorrow he said after school. I am so grateful he loves to learn, and I am so proud of them both!
