Tonight was Jackson's first T-ball practice. Thanks to Melanie working for me, the whole family was able to attend so we could make sure Jackson got adjusted well and settled in. Let me just say a few things:
1. I am SO proud of him!
2. It meant so much having Paul out on the field participating with him.
3. Know how you picture things when you are young and how they will be when you're all grown up and having a family of your own? Usually your expectations are unrealistic and life is never quite that picturesque. Well, I can say tonight was just as I had always pictured it being a "baseball mom."
Preston quickly met a new friend, Hunter, with whom he got into lots of trouble with. :) Shaking the fences, climbing (and falling) on the bleachers, etc. He rather enjoyed himself, too.
Yes, this is my son hitting the baseball! :) Okay, okay...yes, I realize it was off a tee. But, still look at how he held and swung the bat! He's never done that before. He did such a good job!
Here he is diligently watching his coach's instructions. He listened very well.
Here he is with Daddy throwing and catching the ball with his partner. They are mostly focusing on ground balls right now.
