"Somebaee Gonna Gemme Wapop"

Or in English instead of "Prestonian": "Somebody going to get me a lollipop?"

Today was Preston's 2 year check-up with Dr. Smith, and we got word that he is a bright, growing, healthy boy. He did get four shots :( as he was behind on them since he missed the 18 month ones which is a long story. And, while he wasn't happy about that the root beer lollipop he got at the checkout desk took his mind off them for a while. The funniest thing was how Jackson freaked and said, "What are you doing? Don't hurt him!" Sidenote: Preston's last two visits to the MD have been for ear infections at the afterhours place we go to in McDonough and they ALWAYS hand out a lollipop at checkout. Our regular pediatrician does not, however. But, when I told Preston we were at the doctor, he immediately associated that word with lollipops. So, he screamed for one after the shots long enough I suppose until someone scrambled to find him one. :)

He was 35 and 3/4 inches there and 30 pounds 8 ounces. Average percentiles on both. And, shocker here...his iron level was normal! Are you kidding me? That kid eats horribly! I expected it to be near zero! Guess he does better than I think eating.

I will say he has been pitiful tonight. Neither of my children ever have expressed much pain in the area they receive their shots. But, he is almost limping when he walks and says it hurts. I feel so bad for him. I hope tomorrow morning he has bounced back from all of it and doesn't mention it again! :) Pray God takes away the pain!
