It's a Perfect Day!

Our first day spent at the Magic Kingdom was Friday, and the boys themed it a "Perfect Day." It all started honestly with Jackson naming it that all on his own, and then he and Preston both kept repeating it. You can imagine my delight in seeing that they did in fact inherit my Disney-loving genes!

I was quite worried about the weather on the way down there, and it rained the whole night we arrived (we didn't get to the room until 2:30am!) But, after that when we woke up and got started it was all good! It did get a little chilly some nights like last year, but we were fine because I had packed sweaters and jackets.
Preston had ALOT more fun than I think most people would expect from a 2-year old. Now, the things that Preston had the most fun doing though were quite innovative. His absolute favorite by far was hanging (a new self-taught trick) from the chains and railings. He also figured out how to do it with no hands and just hanging from his armpits. Seriously.

I really always knew he was a monkey deep down. :) His other favorite pasttime was running down the walkway around the grounds of our hotel. If you have ever stayed at Port Orleans Riverside on Disney property, then you know it is full of trails and car-free places to walk and roam. His newfound freedom was very exciting for him.

Just as we were about to grab lunch the first day, we got to get a sneak peek as Mickey and Minnie were filming a commercial of some sort. We couldn't get any closer than this, but the boys were very excited to see them that close. Jackson said, "Minnie saw me, Mom! She did! She waved right at me!"

As you can see the ground is still wet from the overnight rain, but we were all dry!
I hate taking a two-year old's picture! He never smiles! But, he did below, so this is one of my favorites! Did I mention I have now taken two one-year olds, a two-year old, a three-year old, and a four-year old to Disney? So far the most magical age is four. They had fun all other times, but I can see that time is slipping away for Jackson to realize that the characters aren't "real" and that they are just a person in a suit. I am SO glad we went this year because he still believed.

I LOVE DISNEY! Did I forget to say that as well?
