Christmas Eve at the Brown's

While every year I say "I do not want to spend Christmas Eve and Day running all around to fifty million different houses!", once I get to each fifty million different house I am so glad we went. :) Family really is what makes Christmas for me. Not the presents or the great food (which does make it good!), but the people around you who sadly sometimes you ONLY see on holidays, but still it is nice to see them nonetheless! I hate that life with two kids under the age of six (and diabetes!)= busyness. But, it does. So, I don't always get to call or visit like I should. But, it is funny how you can go months without seeing some people and still pick up right where you left off before.

We had a great time at Maw Maw Brown's this year. It started off the day before seeming like it might be stressful getting everyone there at a good time to visit before we would have to leave to go to my dad's. But, it all ended up working out just perfect!

The kids played with their cousins, trashed Maw Maw and Pop's house (sorry!), and got some neat presents! Including remote control cars and a savings bond! That was super neat. It was their first!

Playing with cousins here means girls are involved. :) Which always makes my kids excited because girls have neat toys they don't get to play with often! Preston got his hands on a Barbie brush and proceeded to brush nearly everyone's hair there. He went from Abbey, to Maw Maw Brown, and I quickly explained to him he couldn't put the brush into my bird's nest or we'd never see it again!
Then, he went over to Uncle Junior. This was so cute. He brushed it for a bit, and then said very politely, "I tink yours is too short!"

This is how we began our Christmas Eve night...stay tuned for where the evening's events took us next!
