Santa Came!

Let me preface by saying I have gotten alot of flack for how much Santa brings my kids..and frankly I am tired of losing sleep over it...so please don't comment on it. :) I don't mean that rudely AT ALL! I promise! I am just tired of hearing about it. It doesn't matter what Santa brings...what I am thankful for is that we have jobs to afford to "bring" anything to our house and that I am able to give my children the same memorable Christmases I had as a young child. So, yes there you have it. My sister and I got this much as well. If it makes you feel any better, I got awesome deals and sales this year and used coupons!

Back to Christmas morning:

Preston is very multi-talented as you can tell...who else can race Mariokart on Jackson's new Wii AND suck their thumb?

Jackson at first seemed a bit sad he didn't get a (slow, made for 3 year olds) Lightning McQueen powerwheels. :) And, those who know me know I work hard to make things "even." So, it twinged at my heart. But, with time and (he is super smart!) by teaching himself quickly how to work the Wii, it is now his favorite toy ever, and I think he is super glad he got it. You have to imagine being in his shoes though..a white box with gray letters saying Wii vs a shiny plastic car that is huge. He thought he was slighted.
And, who wouldn't want a WallE robot?? Although I will admit WallE isn't working now.. :( I am not sure if he's broken or what. :( This post is reminding me of how I need to check on that. :)

You can never go wrong with anything car-related for Preston!

And, Santa obviously got the letters! He knew to bring Jackson the Nerf gun!
Preston is so wild indoors with motorized toys (and bikes we learned later..but that's another post..), but with the cold and wetness outside we did let him try it out!
And, if you want to pee your pants, come watch my kids play Operation. Remember that game? Preston just adores the annoying sound it makes if you lose. So...we hear that over..and over...and over. :)

They are always tired and slow to wake on Christmas morning, but something about the pictures of their messed up hair and warm pajamas always makes me smile.

We had a wonderful Christmas! I was worried it would be diabetic-y. I am sure that is NOT a word, but I just made it up. :) But, instead it felt just like old times..and for a second I forgot about it. I am discovering more and more lately for split seconds I do forget about it. I never imagined I would. Maybe that is dangerous?? But, I kind of like it.
Stay tuned. Amazingly, this is NOT the end of our Christmas fun! :) We still had three more Christmases to go!

Um, yes. Preston sucking his thumb WHILE playing Wii cracks me up!
