An Old Tradition Revisited...

My sister and I love each other. Alot. Really. We do. I believe that. Honestly. But, wow. Sibling rivalry has reared its ugly head alot over the past few years with us unfortunately. And, we haven't been doing alot of holidays together because of it. But, this year we were able to rejoin each other at my dad's. And, then we also got together at my sister's house with my mom and her boyfriend, Jim. I know it meant so much to my parents for us all to be together, so really it didn't matter what we wrapped up or bought my mom. Us together was her favorite gift.

It went well at both places, and I enjoyed seeing my nephews. Aiden cracks me up. This is my sister's gift, and he was seeing if it fit him. :) So cute!

We mostly stayed in their basement which means that Preston was nonexistent to all of us. He LOVES (understatement) their train table. And, he stays busy with that each time we visit.

It was also a great opportunity for us to see what Santa had brought Nicholas and Aiden. I am bummed I didn't snap a picture of Aiden's new fish he got! :( But, I did get a picture of Chili Pepper. Yep, you got it. That is Nicholas's new pet's name. Guess what it is? A chinchilla! I had never even heard of them! But, they are so cute. Well, at least this one is. And, it is truly the softest pet you have ever touched! Nicholas is highly allergic to lots of things...most animals including dogs and cats. So, he has been longing for a pet for years. (So sad that he is SUCH an animal lover and then to be allergic!) And, chinchillas are the way to go if you are allergic! My sister did lots of research to find that out and he and Nicholas are becoming the best of buddies already! Secretly, I think my sister is in love with Chili Pepper, too, but will never admit it. :)

Let me just say this is a huge step for my sister to allow any kind of shavings or messy thing in her house! haha! I am proud of her!

Nicholas adores Chili Pepper!
And, of course we exchanged gifts with my mom.

Friends for life, wouldn't you say?
