Here's the conversation between the nurse at the pediatrician's office and Jackson today:
Jackson: "See how big I am!? I'm growing so tall! (jumping up and down and standing on tippy toes)
Nurse: "Yes, you are!"
Jackson: "Mommy says I'm gonna grow to be big and strong from eating all that food."
Nurse: "That's right!"
Jackson: "Uh-huh. Mommy says I have to grow all up."
Nurse: "Yes, you sure do! So, you can be an adult!"
Jackson: (as his eyes light up) "Yes! I will! So, then I can be in charge of Preston!"
HILARIOUS!
Poor innocent Preston who has no idea someone is planning to be his dictator! And poor innocent Jackson who has no idea Preston is growing up big and strong too and that he will soon give Jackson a run for his money!
This battle is just beginning!
For now, I told Jackson noone here is in charge but Mommy and Daddy. He said, "Well, I wanna be in charge of somethin'," and frowned. I said, "Hey, I know. You can be in charge of your stuffed animals!" Thankfully, for now he fell for it.
