This is what I heard today waiting in the room for over an hour at the pediatrician for Preston's 18 month check-up. (We're a little late considering he is almost 19 months old!)
Interpretation is:
"Doctor Smith, where are you??"
Yes, Jackson has called Dr. Smith Dr. Sniff since he was two, and now Preston has picked it up. And Preston was calling for the doctor because we were all three about to kill each other in that tiny room waiting on him.
But, he did finally come in and Preston is growing just as he should! He is 26 pounds, 15 ounces and 33 and 1/2 inches long. I told him that was great! Now he only has 6 and 1/2 more inches to grow to ride the cool rides at Disney World (Dizzy Wuld as Preston calls it.)
Then the doctor asked all the usual developmental questions. He asked if he can turn pages of a book. I said, "Sure! But, we never let him because he rips all the pages out!" Then Dr. Sniff asked if he is talking well and using at least 7 to 15 words. I said, "Well, of course! He's related to me and Jackson, isn't he?"
I don't think Dr. Sniff believed me as to just how much Preston talks, but when I told him examples of what he says he was shocked! He couldn't believe that Preston was saying several sentences at a time. He said that is very advanced! Way to go, Preston! And way to go, Jackson, for teaching him nearly ALL of those words!
