OK, I apologize this post is really more about me than the JPMs. I just need a pat on the back. Although, once you realize what I am about to brag about, you are going to realize just how MUCH I trust those of you I sent the link to my blog page. I would not brag about this to anyone I would think would make fun of me. So, no making fun everybody!
If you know me well you know two things about me that are imperatively true:
1. I am NOT a morning person.
2. Until recently me and my two boys slept in each day. (and I mean really slept in)
So, get this!!!!!
I got up this morning (and intend to every school day between now and the end of the year) and cooked a full breakfast for my little school man (and Daddy, too!) Scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast! Jackson's favorites.
Let me just say Dad doubted I could do it in time and doubted I would do it. He told Jackson, "Well, now we know who she really loves." Aww, how sad. I never got up to make Dad breakfast! :( I got up at the last minute when I was in college and when I worked. And, after that I slept in with the boys because if anyone had rattled pots and pans they would have awoken.
So, I told Dad, "Yes, as you can see I love myself the most. Because it makes me feel really good about myself as a parent to do this!" Touche!!! (is that spelled right?)
Anyway, I did it because Jackson really only wants toast each morning. Sometimes he'll eat oatmeal (which I might offer with some bacon some mornings so he can still get some protein). And, the 1st day of school, when I picked him up even after their snack he was starving after just eating the toast and seemed so worn down. So, I wanted him to get an extra good breakfast to help with that. His schedule for eating is so upside down on the school days. It is hard to get a routine only going twice a week. But, I like the days off to plan family stuff.
As a child, I always wanted my mom to cook us a big breakfast. She only did on Sundays which is how I used to be. So, I'm proud of myself even if you all think I am nuts for typing this up! :)
PS I did buy some precooked bacon today at Publix for the rushed days.. Shhh..Don't tell! But, hey you can't buy precooked scrambed eggs! At least that I know of! I'll have to get back with you! ha ha :)

I'm so proud of you! That's a great goal and I know you can do it! I'll know where to go on Tuesdays and Thursdays...what time is breakfast served, again? :)
HAHA!! I told Paul next year Jackson will most likely go to school Tues, Wed, and Thurs for 4K. All Paul had to say was, "Wow, that's awesome! I will get breakfast three days in a row every day I work!"
