Today was probably one of the best Thanksgivings I can remember in a long time. It was one of new traditions since we were not in Florida as usual, and I really thought I would be sad we were in Georgia instead, but I set out to make the best of it. And, what I got in return was a wonderful, fun day.
We went to my mother-in-law's for lunch, and while she was finishing up some of her food (I took some, too), Jackson and I played his Memory Match Game. That was so much fun even when he fell out of the chair and hit his head! Oh no!
Then, after a wondeful lunch she and I did some great activities with the boys. We rolled out cookie dough, and used the cookie cutters to bake some Christmas and winter-themed cookies. Then, the boys got to ice the cookies. We also used some ice cream cones and let them ice those like Christmas trees and decorate them with Skittles and M&Ms for the ornaments. Then, MawMaw played CandyLand with them. (mostly Jackson :)) It was all so much fun. While Preston was not feeling too crafty today, he did really enjoy eating the end results.
Here's Preston attempting to ice his cookie:
As you can see Jackson took this whole rolling out the cookie dough and using the flour so it doesn't stick thing a little too seriously! :) I didn't do this to his face on purpose. I just walked up and saw it. I guess he had an itch. :)
