It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas...

Our December is jam packed full, so we started decorating the house this weekend! The boys were so excited! And, I was excited to decorate our new tree this year. It is 9 feet tall as you can see, and I really like it! We got a good deal on it, too! :) Don't ask why it is leaning to the left...me and Paul both tried to fix that, but we couldn't get it completely upright. Our last tree leaned, too, that way. Wonder if the floor is uneven there???
The boys have always had small trees in their room, too. This year Preston was more into decorating his except he really does not believe in hooks. Honestly, he just thinks you grab the ball and in his words, "Re-e, set, goes wite dere!" (ready, set, goes right there) you can just throw the ball onto the tree and really it is supposed to stay. He was confused as it fell to the ground. He was not patient enough for hooks. He got better though the more I helped. He loves his tree. He woke up from his nap, saw it, and exclaimed, "Mommy, wook at dat Cwissmas!" (Mommy, look at that Christmas!) He keeps leaving off the "tree" part.

My big boy, Jackson, was a professional. Except thanks to me he is now afraid to touch the tree and the lights since I explained we have to wash our hands afterwards. (Have you ever read those warnings on the packages of those things?) I tried my best to explain why, and Dad ended up just saying , "Because it's made in China!" So, now Jackson keeps saying he can't touch it because it's "made of Chinet." Go figure! :) But, he managed to hang the ornaments and it turned out great! He is such an appreciative child. He thanked me all day for each decoration I put up. And, this year it is alot more fun to explain the hanging of the Santa key, the stockings, and stuff like that. He loved the Christmas village, too. And, after finishing his tree we talked alot about the true meaning of Christmas. It was such a wonderful time spent with them.
