Christmas Fun!

Today was Polar "Bear" Express Day at Jackson's school! (He always adds the bear part.) It was so much fun! They got to wear their pajamas and robes to school. (Big thanks to Erica for the robe, and another big thanks to Ms. Leesha for watching Preston so I could go up to the school and volunteer.) Jackson was so excited!
They did awesome crafts! I was so bummed I didn't take my camera. I thought I wouldn't be able to snap pictures and help out at the same time, but I could have snapped some. :( The teacher and some other moms are supposed to be sending me some hopefully that I can share with you all.

The teacher had taken a picture of them in a Santa hat and cut them out. They glued them on to a piece of paper then glued a train on to that paper with a cutout where the conductor would sit showing their picture like they were driving the train! Then they put glue all over that and glitter and buttons.

They made two different kinds of ornaments: one with glitter and glue and another with this applesauce, glue, and cinnamon mixture. That was so neat! Those would make great gifts! They can paint over them later, too!

They also glued cotton balls and red pieces of paper on a Santa face, and then on that was written: Jackson's first gift of Christmas is... And, of course his answer was a rocket ship. (Santa told me he is having trouble finding this this year, so he might have to write a letter explaining...)

Then, they iced twinkies into trains. It was so cute. They used gumdrops, pretzels, and peppermint candy for the wheels. Then, they got to eat their creation. It was all so adorable!

Then, tonight after I got off work I took them to Chick-fil-A for dinner. We had no idea the Santa Cow would be there! Jackson had his picture made with him (no camera for me still!!! :( ), but Preston was only interested from a distance. They also had a table set up for a craft though. That was so neat! The kids loved that. They got to glue buttons on these snowflakes. When they came home, they put them on their trees. Aren't they cute?

Boy, am I blessed!
