Tonight we baked our cookies that we will leave out tomorrow night for Santa! This is our long-standing tradition that we started even when Jackson was just a baby. We typically bake them on Christmas Eve after all of our parties, but last year it seemed so rushed and the kids were exhausted. So, this year we did them tonight so they can actually put them on the plate tomorrow night. Years past, they went to sleep while they were still baking. :) Preston enjoyed carrying his pan to the oven, but was not big on the sticky feeling of the dough on his hands no matter how much we tried to encourage him. :)
Jackson is intent at working on placing them just right on the cookie sheet. He is such a serious, perfectionistic child! :) (Hmmm...no idea where he gets that from.)

I let them stay up a little late to wait for them to finish baking. Then, they got to eat some before bed! :) It's Christmas, right? I couldn't resist. :)
