Oh What Fun It Is To Ride In A Truck Drawn Parade Float..Hey!

Yes, I am not a musician...but I tried to make the title cute. Give me an A for effort. :)

Tonight Jackson and I got to participate in the McDonough Christmas Parade. It was our family's first time attending or participating in the parade. I really was impressed with the turnout, the organization, and the warm feeling it brought to me regarding our community. I am glad we went. I hope we can make that a new tradition.

The Sharon School, Jackson's preschool, represented the float that Jackson got to ride on. I walked, rather ran, next to it. Dad and Preston watched from the sidelines..although being beginning paraders they didn't really get a good view of us. But, we did see my cousin, Kim, several other people from the school, one of our drivers from Moye's and best of all Aunt Malia, John Michael, Bree, and Aunt Malia's family! Since we had missed Dad, seeing them really raised Jackson's spirits.

I think next year though we will opt for watching and not riding/walking. Jackson did pretty good, but he was tired since he didn't nap this afternoon, and a little grumpy. If you know my child, you know he is always like this when we do new big things. Then, the second go round he knows what to expect and all is good. Hmm..WONDER WHO HE GETS THAT FROM?

Jackson, hope you had fun, baby!
